What we collect, and why.

AWSM LABS LLC operates awsmlabs.ai. For anything on this page — a question, a correction, a deletion request — write to business@awsmlabs.ai. If it concerns a job application or the Team Network, use people@awsmlabs.ai and it will reach the right people faster.

When you submit a form. Your name and email, whatever you wrote in the message, and the fields specific to that form — company, role, industry, budget range, which solution you were looking at. Alongside it we record where you arrived from: campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_*, gclid, fbclid), the referring page, and which article or assessment you came in on. That context tells us which of our work is actually useful; it is attached to your enquiry, not built into a profile that follows you around the internet.

When you subscribe to AWSM DSPTCH. Your email, your name if you gave one, your industry if you chose one, and how often you want to hear from us. Subscribing is confirmed by email — we do not add anyone to the list who has not clicked the link in that confirmation.

When you sign up for a personalised briefing. The preferences you set: the topics and companies you want watched, how deep, how often, your time zone and the hour you want it.

When you download something gated. Your name and email, which download it was, and which article it came from.

When you apply for a role or join the Team Network. Everything on the form, plus your résumé if you attached one. See AI and your data — this is the one place we use an AI model on something you sent us.

If you create an account. Accounts are optional, free, and not required to read or use anything. If you have one, we store the things you save — glossary terms, articles, research, assessments — and the results of assessments you choose to keep, so you can find them again and see how your answers move over time. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your email address and name from them. We do not receive your password, and we never post anything anywhere on your behalf.

If you comment or react to a post. Your name and your comment. Comments are reviewed before they appear.

If a submission looks automated. We keep it, tagged as suspected spam, and do not act on it. That way a real person wrongly caught by the filter is never silently lost — write to us and we will find it.

These are worth stating plainly, because a lot of sites do the opposite.

Assessment answers are not stored unless you have an account and choose to keep the result. The report you see at the end is built entirely from the link in your address bar — nothing you answered is written down anywhere. If you close the tab without submitting the form, we never knew you were there.

No advertising or cross-site tracking. There are no ad pixels, no retargeting tags, no data brokers, and nothing here follows you to another website.

Our fonts don't phone home. The typefaces are packaged with the site when it is built, so your browser never makes a request to a font provider and no third party learns you visited.

We never sell your data, and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing.

We use very few, and none of them for advertising.

Stored in your browser, never sent to us: your light/dark reading preference, and a random identifier (awsm_vid) with no name attached, used to tell repeat visits apart in our own analytics and to stop a single post being liked twice from one browser. Clearing your site data removes both.

Cookies we set: one to remember that you entered the password on our partners page, and — if you create an account — a sign-in cookie so you stay signed in. Team members signing into our internal admin area get one too.

Cookies others set: when a booking calendar loads on a page, Calendly sets its own. That is their cookie under their policy.

Our analytics is cookieless. It counts page views and where people drop out of an assessment; it does not identify you.

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data on our instructions, for us, and for nothing else.

We will also hand something over if the law requires it. We would tell you unless we were forbidden from doing so.

These providers are based in the United States, and that is where your information is processed.

We build with AI, so we owe you a straight answer about where it touches you.

One place, and only one. When you apply for a role or join the Team Network, your application is sent to Anthropic's Claude to produce a score and a short summary against the role's criteria. It is a first read to help us give every application real attention. It never rejects anyone. A person reviews every application, and the AI summary sits beside it rather than in front of it. If you would rather we did not do this, say so in your application and we will skip it.

Everywhere else, no. Your enquiries, your newsletter preferences, your saved items and your assessment answers are not fed to a model, and nothing you send us is used to train one — not ours, not anyone's.

Business enquiries and applications are kept while there is a live reason to — a conversation in progress, a role still open, a candidate who asked to stay in the network. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe.

If you have an account, your saved items and results stay until you remove them or delete the account. Deleting the account takes them with it.

We would rather delete than hoard. Ask and it goes.

See what we hold. Ask, and we will tell you what we have about you.

Correct it. Tell us what is wrong and we will fix it.

Delete it. Ask and we will remove it, except where we are legally required to keep a record.

Stop the email. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately. You can also just reply and ask.

Stop the analytics. Turning on your browser's Do Not Track, or blocking scripts, is respected — nothing here tries to work around it.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your personal information, including how it is used and where it goes. Write to business@awsmlabs.ai and we will honour them.

This is a site for people doing their jobs. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

When we change what we do with your information, we change this page and move the date at the top. If a change is significant and we have your email, we will tell you rather than quietly amend the page.
